20 Feb Hippo Group Delivers Dazzling Performance
Trio from Greece captivates young audience, offering encouragement on their track to cultivating Greek language versatility and literacy.
The Hellenic center abounded in bright smiles and the belly-laughter of children as dozens came to observe the “Hippo” Group performance hosted by the Annunciation Greek School.
The program, which consisted of a colorful, bi-lingual sketch followed by a hands-on, interactive group session was as educational as it was entertaining.
The sketch, originally an adaptation from a popular Greek children’s play, was about the travails of a lost cat named “Niarra,” who after encountering several interesting characters, eventually makes her way back home.
Thanks to an outstanding performance by the trio of artists from Greece, the captivation of the young audience was absolutely stunning, and was sure to etch a lasting memory into the minds of each and every member of the audience.
Freshly baked pizza and cookies were served. A note of appreciation deservedly goes out to Greek School Director, Dimitra Dogias, for facilitating such a unique event.
