20 Feb Palm Sunday Ushers in Holy Week at Annunciation
Reliving the events of the Passion, Crucifixion, and Resurrection of our Lord, God & Savior Jesus Christ, the Annunciation community concludes Lent with a final, glorious charge into Holy Week.
Decked with luscious palms and sweet-scented bay leaf, the recently remodeled Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church dazzled with beauty as hundreds of faithful gathered together to celebrate the entrance of our Lord into Jerusalem, also known as Palm Sunday.
Serving as a pristine introduction to the austere atmosphere of Holy Week, the Orthodox Church with her treasury of liturgical services celebrates this week the climax of the history of salvation, leading all the way to the awesome triumph of the Resurrection, the new Pascha.
You can follow us in this yearly celebration of Pascha through the following schedule. Photos will be uploaded as they become available.
